Chloe Elliott undertook a foundation degree at Kingston University, London before furthering her education to receive a BA Hons in illustration at Falmouth university.
Now settled in Cornwall, her work derives inspiration heavily from the untouched beauty and constantly-changing character of the Cornish landscape.
She is moved by the environment around her she now calls home and her work mirrors the colours, textures, and timelessness of the surrounding coastline.
Having recently diverted her skills towards still life subjects, she aims to examine the delicate relationships between objects, their space, and their emotional connections. Using subdued palettes and multi layers of paint, her compositions take on a feeling of calm and timelessness.
Chloe’s still life work goes beyond simple studies. They imbue a meditative presence, a feeling or emotion, whilst portraying the beauty we find in everyday moments.
