Down to the Quay
I have always loved the sweeping path that you can take from the Lugger
down to the quay. Its arching shape seems to mirror to curve of the
harbour. As the tide rises, gaggles of excited young make their way down
there to leap carefree off the quayside. This view must have remained
unchanged for years and will be embedded in childhood holiday memories.
The cyanotype process (one of the earliest forms of photographic imaging
using sunlight to make a print) seemed fitting to capture that sense of
longevity.
